Social Networks - how they harm Friendship, Health and even KW |

Facebook's success has no doubt affected traffic to sites which are community based like KW. This site which has been around for almost a decade suddenly has had to try and draw members away from these new 'social networking' websites for which there is no real competition. Although it is unlikely to happen soon, the winding down of KW is probably inevitable unless the appetite within our community to support each other and meet online here returns. Social networking is now the buzz-word and unfortunatly in my opinion whilst it seems a great tool for communities in the short-term, it will end up damaging our communities and even society in the future.

"WASHINGTON (dpa) -- U.S. government officials warned they may need even more money to stabilize the country's crumbling financial sector as they launched a new $1 trillion program Tuesday designed to unfreeze credit markets (5th March 09)".
BUT what does that look like? I mean, there are all these figures on the news but none give a sense of what exactly a trillion dollars looks like.
So lets explain!..
